Corner-five: cue 50, aim 15, arrive 35

How to play it
Situation. Cue ball at 50 (the corner); the two object balls sit near the opposite long rail around 35.
Formula. third rail = cue − first → 50 − 15 = 35. Aim at diamond 15 on the top long rail.
Execution. Running english (same side as the path), one tip above center, medium speed for three rails. Level cue, stroke through the ball.
Check. If the ball comes up short of 35, use less english or aim a smaller number; if long, add english or aim five units higher.
Remember. Every five units on the first rail shifts about half a diamond on the third. New or warm cloth runs longer than old cloth.
